Look what we get to do!

I recently got an order for a department at a local college.  In white vinyl, they wanted 5inch letters in Times New Roman to say "Look what we get to do!"  I didn't understand the meaning behind this until I went to hang it on their window in the school.  It seems that there is a woman in the department who has just recently beaten breast cancer.  It derived from her telling people... "Look what I get to do!"  From sharpening pencils, to cleaning toilets...  she did each task with pride because having cancer sucks... but she beat it.   And now look what she can do!

It think it is fabulous that the department developed her saying as their yearly motto.  Such a small saying means so much.  I did my best to hang it as straight as possible on their window in the office (along with some of her coworkers) and I was told that she was on her way into the office from the parking lot.  I got it hung before she got into the building and she beamed when she saw it.  She hugged me and told me that she loved it.

What a great feeling.  I love making people happy with my vinyl work.
